Australia’s harsh summer storms never take leave however most of Australia does. 

Over the Christmas holidays we saw damaging hail storms in the Hunter Region area of NSW, and ferocious wind and rain storms at the Gold Coast.

These storms resulted in HBI Australia dealing with hundreds of claims associated with trees down, roofs off, flash flooding, water leaks, power outages and hail damage.

Preparation for an emergency is key at HBI Australia. This means having our emergency action plan up to date and ready to set in motion prior to taking the Christmas break. This includes knowing which of our trade partners can help out in an emergency. 

While the Hunter Valley and Gold Coast storms were leaving behind havoc, our staff were in the office contacting staff on leave to come in, and reaching out to our emergency relief trade partners and assessors.

A few months on we have helped hundreds of families, assessed the damage to numerous claims, and have builders, plumbers, electricians and roofers in place to get people’s homes back into shape as quickly as possible.

Having anyone’s summer holiday impacted by extreme weather events is not what we want to see, however when it does happen the team at HBI Australia is proud to be able to step in, roll up our sleeves, and do what we do best. Fix it!
