  • Hail the size of baseballs can do a lot of damage

In the remote town of Stroud, NSW which is “2 hours from anywhere” is an area where it can be difficult to find local trades.

Which meant that when baseball sized hail storms caused some serious damage the HBI Australia “can do” attitude was put to the test.

The storm had made it difficult to do initial assessments of damage as there was no reception, meaning that communication was slower between the HBI team and the trades on the ground. It also meant that the HBI software where photos for assessments are stored was impacted due to the limited internet.

Luckily relations with the local trades and HBI Australia are strong which meant even with limited communications assessments were able to be done and the claims processed in good time, so that work could begin on the repairs to damaged roofs and other external structures.

It’s a good feeling to know that with strong relations coupled with putting in the hard work in the early stages of a storm event we can get people back into their homes quicker.
