This was certainly the case when a power pole went down during a storm leaving one of our elderly clients without power to her home. Living in a remote rural area, with nowhere to go, and relying on candles, the HBI Australia team at Taree, NSW escalated the claim to get the power pole replaced as a ‘make safe’ until full rectification could be done.

While firstly confirming that the elderly client was safe, one team member was in contact with the electrician, another was speaking to the insurer to get all that was needed for the claim to be processed as a priority.

Within two days from when the power pole went down, power was fully restored by way of replacement pole, which in relation to its remote proximity was a great outcome, and a big relief for our elderly client, and the team at Taree, NSW.

We were so grateful to the electrician for helping out when demand in the area was high, and to the insurer for fast tracking all the necessary approvals.
